Octavia is passionate about empowering others to reach their full potential. She teaches and coaches acting, improv and communication skills. She works with individuals and groups in person and online. To discuss working with Octavia please get in touch via the contact page.

Octavia currently teaches at Hoopla Impro and Collective Acting Studio. In the past she worked with Hampstead College of Fine Arts, King’s College London and P4HE. As a coach and facilitator she worked with a wide variety of clients including those at the Labour Party, BBC and UNHCR.

A qualified teacher in the Gonsalves Method, a modern evolution of Meisner, Octavia supports actors to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances while maintaining spontaneity.

Improv

Octavia is a passionate and experienced teacher of improv. Her workshops and courses cover:

  • Beginner’s - learn the basic building blocks of improv, fall in love with the fun of improvisation and bring into your life the core skills of improv - listening, commitment and cooperation.

  • Meisner for Improvisers - deliver truthful improvised performances with emotional weight

  • Narrative - discover how to craft a play live on stage with no script.

  • Musical - learn how to perform an entire unscripted musical on stage. Discover the joy of improvised song!

  • Acting for improvisers - discover to connect to your fellow players and improvise with honesty

  • Character - Improvise distinct and compelling characters that serve the show.

  • Improvised Shakespeare - Learn how to improvise the plays the Bard never wrote.

  • Long form - weave scenes together inspired by an audience suggestion, learn editing techniques and a variety of formats
